Forsythe Pendleton "Jughead" Jones III is a fictional character appearing in the TV show Riverdale. He is based on the character from Archie Comics.
In Riverdale, Jughead is portrayed as an intelligent, brooding writer and social outsider. He is the son of FP Jones, the leader of the Southside Serpents, a local gang. Jughead initially lives in the projection booth of a drive-in movie theater after his father is arrested. He later becomes a resident of Riverdale High and becomes a student.
His first appearance on Riverdale was in the shows first episode in 2017.
